Needs to reschedule
When a patient asks to reschedule, tell the scheduling team and let the patient know someone will reach out.

- Any practice
Practices import this playbook into MediFlow in one click. It starts in Watch only mode, so nothing goes out until the practice is ready.
Is it a fit?
When to use it
Use it when patients can ask to reschedule by text or by phone, and you want those requests to land with the right person right away.
When not to use it
Skip it if patients reschedule themselves in an online booking tool that already updates your schedule.
Why it helps
A reschedule request that sits in a shared inbox can turn into a missed visit. This playbook puts the request in front of the scheduling team and tells the patient it was received.
How it works
What starts it, what has to be true, and what happens next.
When
- A patient asks to reschedule (for example by replying R).
Then
- The scheduling team gets a task with the patient's case.
- The patient gets a note that someone will reach out with a new time.
Steps
- A patient asks for a new time.
- MediFlow creates a task for the scheduling team.
- The patient hears back that the request was received.
- Once the visit is moved, the Booked or moved playbook sends the new details.
Works well with
- Workflow · Day-before reminderDay-before reminder: reply C to confirm or R to reschedule
Remind the patient of tomorrow's appointment and let them reply C to confirm or R to reschedule.
- Workflow · Booked or movedAppointment booked or moved
Let the patient know their appointment is booked, or that it moved, with the day, time and place.
- AI voice agent · Confirm appointmentConfirm appointment
An AI voice agent calls the patient to confirm an upcoming appointment, or notes times that work better.
