Patient lien not signed: remind, then escalate
Remind the patient to sign their lien, and hand it to staff if it still isn't signed.

Practices import this playbook into MediFlow in one click. It starts in Watch only mode, so nothing goes out until the practice is ready.
Is it a fit?
When to use it
Use it when liens are sent for e-signature and some patients don't sign right away.
When not to use it
Skip it if every lien is signed in the office before the first visit.
Why it helps
An unsigned lien can hold up billing on the whole case. Gentle reminders, then a hand-off to staff, keep it from slipping.
How it works
What starts it, what has to be true, and what happens next.
When
- A lien is sent to the patient for signature.
Only if
- It hasn't been signed.
Then
- The patient gets a reminder with the signing link.
- If it's still unsigned after the reminders, staff get a task.
Steps
- A lien goes out for e-signature.
- If it isn't signed, the patient gets a reminder.
- If reminders don't work, the case goes to staff.
- Once signed, the playbook stops and the lien is saved on the case.
Works well with
- AI voice agent · Ask to sign the lienLien not signed: ask them to sign
An AI voice agent calls the patient about an unsigned lien and offers to resend the signing link.
- Workflow · Portal to-doPatient portal to-do
Send the patient a link to their portal to-do list so they can finish forms and uploads before the visit.
- Workflow · New law firmNew law firm on the claim
When a new law firm takes over a claim, send them an introduction and the lien on file, and tell staff.
