    Attorney FAQ

Plain answers about the free attorney portal.

MediFlow is a personal injury operating system. Your firm and the providers treating your clients work from one shared case, from intake to settlement. Treatment status, records, bills and lien balances live on that case, so you can open it instead of calling the clinic.

Yes. The attorney portal is free for attorneys and their staff. Providers pay for MediFlow, and you get access to the cases you share with them at no cost.

The attorney portal stays free. Later on, we may offer optional paid features for firms that want more. Those will always be optional, and we will never charge attorneys per seat, so you can add your whole team.

Once a provider you work with is live on MediFlow, you can see the claims you share with them: where treatment stands, records and documents, bills, and the lien or LOP balance. Everything is in one place, and you don't need a records request for each update.

Nothing. You don't need to sign up or watch anything. As the providers you work with go live on MediFlow, they add you to your shared cases, and you'll see them in your free portal. StatCare is our first customer, and more providers are coming on in stages.

Providers join MediFlow and add the attorneys they work with to their cases. If a provider you work with isn't on MediFlow yet, you can invite them, and providers can invite attorneys too. Our team reaches out to each invited office to get them set up. As each provider goes live, the claims you share with them show up in your portal.

Use the invite form on our website. On the Law Firms page, click "Invite your providers". Or, from the waitlist page, choose "I'm an attorney" and then click "Invite the providers you work with". Enter your name and email and the provider's name and email, then click "Send invite". We'll email you a confirmation, and our team will reach out to the provider to get them set up. Inviting the providers you refer to most is the fastest way to get their records into your portal.

Both let an injured client get treatment now while the provider waits to be paid from the settlement.

    • Letter of protection (LOP): a letter from the attorney to the provider. It promises the provider's bill will be paid out of the case recovery.
    • Lien: the provider's claim against the settlement itself. It's usually a signed agreement between the patient, attorney and provider, and some states also have statutory medical liens.

How they're enforced, what happens to the balance if the case loses, and the reduction rules all vary by state. Check your state's rules. MediFlow tracks either one on the case, so you and the provider see the same balance.

This is general information, not legal advice.

Yes. MediFlow is HIPAA compliant. Access to a case is limited to the people working on it. The platform runs with 99.9% uptime.

MediFlow works with RamSoft and Tebra today, and we'll integrate with whatever your providers use. If they use something else, tell us.

It depends on your firm's setup. We'll walk you through it: setting up your users, connecting with your providers, and getting your cases flowing. The portal runs in your web browser, with nothing to install.

No. You'll see your cases as soon as the providers you work with add you. If you'd like to set up your free account ahead of time, you can create one in the MediFlow app. Questions? Call us at 888-348-9348.

Pulse is MediFlow's AI assistant on the provider side. It triages the provider's inbox, runs patient intake by text, and checks bills before they go out. For you, that means records requests and case updates land somewhere that gets watched, and the bills you receive have been checked before they're sent.
